So, I lost this earlier, but I was going to comment on how I had once envisioned my blog not as a collection of random shit, but rather as having some sort of structure. I thought to myself, "My blog will be x but not y or z. As in, my blog will be about humorous anecdotes, rather than political commentary or romanticism best served a two-bit floozey. However, as I look back, I see now in a short time my blog has become filled with random shit, and somehow I don't think that's going to change. Prepare yourself to the random shit!
Random Shit #1.
The machine on which I am typing right at this instant had been designated as something to keep as a "spare" or a "beater." The CD/DVD drive does not work, nor the floppy drive. So, if I want something on paper, since I don't have a printer, I must either email it to myself, or put it on a USB stick, and transfer it. While I realize that in the world of international politics and those here at home, in general regarding the state of the world, this is very, very small beans, but now I don't know what to do. Keep this piece of junk? Try to sell it for a few bucks and get a replacement? The things only 3 years old. Damn disposal technology.
Oh, and sooner or later I'll figure out how to list other blogs on the side of mine, but I'm told it involves "code." Ugh.

tex, willb here. I think you should blow the ducats on either the midrange 12" iBook or the 12" powerbook. Both are under $1600 (ibook is under $1200), reliable, and no spyware. I can give you a detailed sales pitch at another time.
