I remember what I was going to say: what's the deal with Katie Holmes? Why is she such a bad actor? She couldn't sell an ice cube to someone in Hell (one of the fiery circles, that is). I was amused to see that the producers of the sequel to _Batman Begins_ stated that they aren't asking her back; they want an actor "with presence." Ha! And I think K. is right when she says that Holmes's eyes are weird. Don't they always look slightly crooked?
Has anyone read John Hawkes's _The Cannibal_? Weird novel. Not in the content, cannibalism isn't so weird, but the form and the style.

And Dan and I agree. She sucks. Dan pointed out that in the scene where she's going to kiss Christian Bale and she has her "romantic, sexy look," it looks like her face is going to slide off.
