Ragged,

those kids are running me.

My youngest group (K-3) always tells me that everything is too hard. Yesterday we gave them Elmer's glue and popsicle sticks and told them to make whatever they want. Three seconds in, two of them were saying, "This is too hard!"

How do these kids manage to breathe?

You need to show them how to make a nice easy picture frame, color it with crayons, and them have them draw pictures of stuff to put in the frames. That's at least a couple hours of quiet.

Popsicle sticks and glue = "too hard"? Seriously? Maybe nenny is right that they need more structure.

Or maybe we should be happy they haven't fallen to huffing the glue. On the other hand, maybe that's why they find everything so challenging...
