Dear readers,
I am today to give you a few pledges.
1. I will write more on my blog.
2. I will screw off less.
3. No, I don't necessarily think 1 and 2 conflict with each other.
4. I will get more work done so I can actually finish my dissertation, b/c I'm getting really sick of the fucking thing.
All these things need to be done.
postscript: I had the local PBS on earlier and they announced the program on Marie Antoinette would be moved from 8 to 10 b/c some of it was inappropriate for children. My first thought was, "It's either a description of French orgies or perhaps nudity in a historical reinactment." You would think either would get me to watch, but I doubt I'll get around to it.

I like the new look.
And I hear you. I'm sick of mine, although I think that really means I'm sick of the first chapter. Still, in the spirit of all this pledging, I WILL be finished with the first draft (er, of the chapter) by October! Huzzah!
And don't worry, we're getting out. I will personally do everything I can to ensure that you and Kim don't end up living in a shed after next year.
