Some observations:
1. Waterfalls are cool. Especially so when they are in the middle of town.
2. Making up another comp syllabus in a program that is currently undergoing reevaluation is problematic. Why can't any comp programs make up their minds? (Though, I'm glad to have the work, and I'm pleased by the D&D-themed mascot.) [If the mascot was adopted in 1933, that would make it a young adult. Base attack/grapple is +19/+37. Watch out!]
3. It is hot out here.
4. I've seen more hippies with horrible tattoos in recent weeks than in recent memory.
5. Season 4 of The Wire was o.k. Not my favorite. The kids were annoying until about 8 episodes in. I really grew to like Bodie. Bubs has a tough life. It took Freamon waaaaay too long to figure out about the vacants. Worst part about the season. Slim Charles is one of my favorite characters. Starting Season 5 as soon as it gets here.

I was thinking yesterday about how you saw that one guy twice around town and I was pretty disappointed to realize that the same thing probably won't happen to me (if I don't factor in campus).
With the exception of Newt, of course.
