Here's a poem I wrote in college as a joke . . . or was it?

"I'll be dipped in shit!"
I've heard it said upon some incredulity.
Such a phrase, it seems to me, was never meant literally.
For if it was, what could be
taken so astoundingly
as to make my father wish a wish so fecally?
