I've started reading David Whisnant's Rascally Signs in Sacred Places: The Politics of Culture in Nicaragua. Am I all of a sudden really interested in Nicaragua? Nope. But I've read a few of this guy's other books, and he's a really interesting writer - and I've had it for years - so I decided to pick it up.

Hmmnn . . . maybe I'll write more later.
